Krista Dusenberry – Class of 2022
I hold a deep passion for all things beauty related. After years of hard work establishing, running and building up my bridal makeup company, I felt the call to further my education at TSPA. Their education and my hunger for knowledge taught me deeper insights about skin, the intricacies of an esthetics business, and the addition of new services in my service arsenal.
Ashley Navis – Class of 2019
I have fallen head over heels in love with making women feel confident and beautiful through haircolor and extensions. There is no greater feeling than turning someone around in their chair and hearing them gasp and squeal with excitement at seeing themselves completely transformed. TSPA set me up for success by teaching me the color line I still use to this day. I will forever be grateful to my school.
Lyndsy Foshion – Class of 2019
I love this industry; it is ever changing, and I strive to keep up with new techniques and trends. I continue to strive to learn, grow, and create beautiful hair every day. I specialize in dimensional blonding services and am known for my balayage and baby lights. I’m honored to have my work featured in Voyage Dallas (twice), Shoutout DFW, Canvas Rebel Magazine and Redken’s Instagram.
Meagan Foster – Class of 2018
At TSPA, Meagan learned from some of the best in the business, gaining foundational knowledge and hands-on experience that would set the stage for her future success. The education she received not only equipped her with technical skills but also ignited her passion for artistry and design. It was here that she realized the impact that a great stylist can have on a person’s confidence and self-expression.
Whitley Cheek – Class of 2011
It’s a beautiful thing when a career and passion come together! My passion behind the chair is being a color and extension specialist. It’s helped me grow my business while providing a specialty service for my clientele. I’ve been featured in a Narcity article “21 Hairstylist Totally Killing The Game Right Now” and my work has been featured on Kevin Murphy and easihairpro’s social media. I love this industry and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Rhiannon Smiddy – Class of 2012
After a life-altering car accident and the loss of my left foot, I found solace in the transformative power of beauty. Starting as an assistant, then to a suite to owning Rhi & Co with a talented staff that thrive on education. The beauty industry is constantly evolving, and we owe it to ourselves—and our clients—to continually level up, stay curious, and never stop learning. Embrace Growth!
Marie Chosa – Class of 2020
Scared but determined, I worked my way up to Master Stylist within 4 years. My goal in life is to make women feel great about themselves and I believe when you love your hair everything is better. If there is one piece of advice I could give to anyone aspiring to succeed in cosmetology, it is to crave education. Stay up to date and always try learning new things!
Rachel Rafferty – Class of 2017
I am forever thankful for the knowledge, skills, and confidence I gained from TSPA. I am so grateful to work in an industry where we are never done learning, and that never gets boring! I feel so lucky to have found my passion and doing what I love! Lived-in color is my specialty! I thrive on enhancing the natural hues of brunettes, blondes, and redheads.
Nicole Dugan – Class of 2008
Started as an associate and today a level 7, Lead stylist, with two associates, training new stylists behind the chair while starting my 18th year of doing hair! I didn’t realize how flexible this career choice would be. I am able to balance work behind the chair, education, mom-life, being a wife and bonus mom, all while making an amazing living and being forever passionate and challenged by my craft.
Trayche’l Burgess – Class of 2020
I graduated literally the day before Covid shut everything down. I was crushed thinking it was all for nothing. I couldn’t find a salon home I saw myself in after everything opened up so I created my own space. I offer custom coloring, haircuts and extensions. Truthfully, this industry is so thrilling and there’s so many great brands and avenues you can take. Just stay true to yourself.
Sabrina Taylor – Class of 2020
A holistic perspective in skincare emphasizes the importance of internal health and the health of the nervous system. Sabrina guides clients to recognize their inner beauty while supporting them on a journey of nurturing and loving the skin they inhabit. Being deeply passionate about empowering others to feel their best and enjoys educating everyone on how to care for their skin are some of her greatest gifts.
Olivia Womack – Class of 2020
The medical aesthetics industry is where I thrive. I am working with a nurse practitioner to deliver advanced technologies and corrective services like dermaplaning, chemical peels, microneedling and carboxy therapy. The industry is always growing and the biggest thing to take away is to always grow with it and if esthetics is your passion, NEVER sell yourself short.
Rhiannon Madden – Class of 2021
Beginning as an associate, to a salon owner within 5 months, I built my own brand and cultivated a clientele that truly inspires me. I developed a passion for color services, particularly lived-in color and blonding. These techniques allow me to create natural looks that enhance my clients’ beauty while ensuring low maintenance. This journey has allowed me to create a life where I love showing up to work every day while still pursuing my personal passions outside of the salon.
Aly Ward – Class of 2022
Making people feel confident and beautiful is what I love most about this industry. I have grown as a person and improved my skills as a stylist at Skylight Salon in McKinney, where my career started as an associate while still a student at TSPA. Blonde, blonde, blonde…let’s make the world blonde!
